PSA Comic and Magazine Grading

At Harvbo Cards, we now offer submissions for comic books and magazines through PSA’s authentication and grading service — the same trusted grading standard collectors rely on for trading cards.
PSA has begun grading standard-size comic books and magazines under its new archival program.

Why Grade Comics & Magazines?

  • Professional Authentication & Grading Standard: PSA applies its world-class authentication and grading protocols to comics and magazines — giving your items the same level of credibility and protection that collectors expect.

  • Preservation and Protection: Once graded, your item is encapsulated in a tamper-evident holder engineered for comics and magazines, preserving condition, protecting from handling and environmental damage, and enhancing resale value.

  • Industry-Wide Recognition: With PSA entering this arena, graded comics and magazines benefit from broader market recognition, collector confidence and collectible integrity.

What We Accept

We accept submissions of standard-size comic books and magazines for PSA grading. According to PSA:

Grading Scale & Holder Details

  • PSA uses a grading scale designed for comics and magazines, which includes the familiar 10-point structure (e.g., 10.0 being Gem Mint) and introduces decimal grading increments to reflect the complexities of interior pages, staples, cover condition, and more. Cllct+1

  • The encapsulation holder and label have been specifically designed for comics/magazines, balancing protective structure with presentation.

Trading Card Grading

PSA has established a recognized and respected universal grading standard for trading card collectors, they encapsulate every trading card in a tamper-evident, sonically sealed case. These attractive, hard plastic cases provide protection from pressure and most damage. Once encased, you can rest assured that your cards will remain secure from further wear.

PSA doesn’t charge extra for pack pulled autographed cards after the year 1998, unless you want the autograph graded. In that case it would go in a dual service submission. This is also the case for pack pulled cards which have been autographed at a game or event. See below Dual Service area for more information.

DUAL SERVICE CARD OPTIONS

If you have an autographed card, you no longer need to choose between autograph authentication or standard PSA grading. We offer Dual Service options through PSA. Their all-encompassing service combines autograph authentication with card or ticket grading. We have a couple of options for you.

To streamline our submission process we only offer 2 Dual Service labels.

  1. Grade Card/Grade Autograph
  2. Authentic Card/Authentic Autograph

Ticket Grading

Ticket collecting is gaining in popularity as collectors realize that tickets represent tangible artifacts from some of the greatest moments in sports and pop culture. You can preserve your ticket collection and add much needed security and value with PSA grading.

Pack Grading

Not all trading cards come out of the pack. Literally. There is a growing number of collectors who choose to preserve the cards and the packaging, opting instead to leave the packs unopened and the cards undisturbed. To those collectors, we offer PSA Pack Grading. Unopened packs graded by PSA will enjoy the security and protection that comes with PSA’s sonically sealed holders, as well as enhanced liquidity.

PSA is the largest and most respected third-party authentication and grading company in the world for unopened packs. From first-edition Pokémon and other TCG packs to vintage baseball wax, PSA authenticates and grades a huge assortment of sealed trading card products.

From Pokémon to basketball, baseball and football, both vintage and modern, unopened packs from across the hobby can be authenticated and graded by PSA.
